Report: Ainge shopping Green "hard"

The NBA trade deadline is only ten days away. You know what that means?

It's rumor time!

According to Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News, the Celtics are trying to trade Jeff Green. Lawrence reports that the Atlanta Hawks have emerged as the frontrunners for Green, and that the Hawks would have to give up starting small forward DeMarre Carroll.

Carroll, 27, is averaging 10.4 points on 47% shooting and 5.6 rebounds in 31 minutes. The fourth-year forward has started every game he's played for the Hawks this season.

The Hawks sit fourth in the Eastern Conference, and adding Green would be an upgrade.

According to other sources, Celtics GM Danny Ainge is shopping Green "hard."

Green, 27, is averaging 16.3 points and 5 rebounds on 42% shooting. Green's inconsistent play has been a topic of conversation of late.

Green has two years (the last being a player option) and $18.8 million remaining on his deal.
